The Manchester Craft and Design Centre reaches its 30th anniversary this year and is marking this milestone by holding a charity auction on Thursday 8 November. The 7th annual Manchester Literature Festival takes place in venues across the city between 8-23 October 2012. Building on the legacy of its successful predecessor Manchester Poetry Festival it provides North West audiences with access to high calibre live literature experiences, showcases emerging talent, commissions new writing and encourages readers to broaden their reading horizons.
Grizedale Arts, one of the Arts Council’s national portfolio organisations, is the first publically funded arts organisation to be invited to take part in the 2012 Frieze Art Fair by the Frieze Foundation. Their project, Colosseum of the Consumed, will reflect the increasing interest in ecology, food and innovative work taking place in rural areas around the world
