AA2A Artist in Residence at Blackburn University

As part of the national Artists Access to Art Colleges project we will be offering two placements to artists and designer-makers, giving them the opportunity to undertake a period of research or realise a project using our workshop and supporting facilities

Facilities include: IT facilities, lending library, & lecture programme.

Facilities available – printmaking (intaglio, relief, screen), wood, plaster, clay, textiles (digital printing, sewing machines, looms, screen-printing), laser cutter, film, video, sound, photography (digital and film processes, darkroom, studios and editing), digital editing facilities, graphics, life drawing, painting

Closing date for applications is 10th September 2013

  • Access is free, for at least 100 hours, between October 2013 and April 2014
  • A small grant of up to £220 may be available for some artists from AA2A’s ‘Hardship fund’
  • Applicants must have at least one years professional practice and should be able to work with minimal technical support
  • Artists on AA2A schemes run from 2011 to 2012 or before can reapply
  • AA2A particularly welcomes applicants with disabilities, from culturally diverse backgrounds and non-graduates
