Talking Prints returns

Part of the Artlab Contemporary Print programme, Talking Prints is a series of talks by artists exploring issues within contemporary printmaking, discussing current research, new developments in technologies and professional studio practice. Last chance to book

A Digital printmaking workshop for adults will take place at the Printmaking studio at UCLan on 17th November 2012 (10 am- 4 pm).   The workshop will be run by three experienced artists: Tracy Hill, David Henckel and Magda Stawarska-Beavan.

This unique day’s workshop is Inspired by Digital Aesthetic3 2012 and the accompanying exhibitions at PR1 Gallery and the Harris Museum.

Art of Ours – Queens Building, Chorley

This parallel art exhibition is an ambitious project in which both established and non-established artists exhibit works in a weekly exhibition program. Each week displays a new collection of innovative works from a wide spectrum of the arts. The venue is the old Queens Building in Chorley which has been made available as a temporary arts venue for 8 weeks.

We Play Expo & Preston City Guild Festival

Welcome to the North West’s closing celebration for London 2012 at the Preston City Guild Festival.

The final weekend has arrived and we are here to say goodbye to a historic event, saluting the world’s largest mega sporting competition. Medals have been won and lost, world records achieved and new friends made along the way. A cultural festival like London 2012 lingers in the memory because it ends. Now is the time for the North West to celebrate how well we played.

The one time of year where the skies might not be overcast, where it might actually be possible to shoot outdoors without it raining, without the aid of artificial illumination to counteract the lack of sunlight. But even if it does rain, there’s no reason not to be filming. Filmonik has a screen all ready and waiting for you.
