Oxheys Mill Studios have issued a call for submissions for their 2012 ‘Winter‘ exhibition, asking artists to submit work that respond to the theme of ‘winter’, which is open to wide interpretation. It is hoped this will build on the success of last years’ Winter exhibition, which received an impressive response from artists in all media, making an interesting and imaginative show from which several works sold during the Private View!
The theme of Winter is quite wide and can be interpreted in so many different ways and as both 2D and 3D work in all media will be accepted, this is an opportunity to really use your imagination.
All entries are subject to selection. Further details, entry forms and terms and conditions of entry are now available on the Oxheys website.
The exhibition will run until the end of January but to encourage pre- Christmas sales, buyers will be able to take away purchases on the day, so up to 5 pieces of work per artist will be selected, to allow replacement of any sold items, although not all may be initially included in the exhibition.
The current exhibition at Oxheys – ‘Unframed‘ – finishes on Saturday 1st December so early submissions will be accepted on that day allowing those who have not yet seen the show a chance to do so, whilst artists with work in ‘Unframed‘ will be able to collect on Wednesday 5th.
Additional hand-in days for ‘Winter‘ are then on Friday 7th and Saturday 8th December.
Private View & Christmas party
A special preview evening and combined Christmas party will be held 6-8pm on Thursday December 13th when there will also be an opportunity to win a very special prize in the Christmas raffle!
