Oxheys Summer open exhibition & art marketAs part of our 3rd birthday celebrations,  Oxheys are running a special Summer Open exhibition, also featuring a one-day pop-up Art Market event on Preston Flag Market.

Local artists, LAN and ArtLab members are all invited to join and any artists interested in running workshops or a performance during the Art Market even are also invited to apply.

Only chance to see Lubaina Himid new work

Join us at Oxheys Mill Studios for an Open Day this Saturday 14th June, for an opportunity to see a fabulous new installation by international artist Lubaina Himid MBE. Professor of Contemporary Art at UCLAN in Preston. This will be the only opportunity to see this installation before it gets shipped off to Guanjiu in South Korea for the Art Biennale so don’t miss this opportunity to see and explore the installation. Lubaina will be around all day to answer questions and talk about the work.

If you haven’t been to Oxheys before, the Open Day is also a chance to have a look around, talk with some resident artists and see the Project Space.

The Open Day is on from 11am to 4pm. All welcome.

Back by popular demand for 2014 is another 20:20 print sale at artist-run Oxheys Mill Studios in Preston. This proved so popular last year, with people literally queuing up on opening night to buy prints so make sure you don’t miss out miss this year. LAN Open exhibition 2013 – call for submissions

After the success of last years’ Open exhibition, we were keen to hold another. Oxheys Mill Studios have kindly agreed to host in their fabulous Project Space again but we have also arranged with the new Korova Arts Cafe in Preston for some additional exhibition space. This will increase exposure and provide more opportunities for sales. The Private View event will be held at Oxheys on 22nd August, with another event held at Korova on Saturday 24th August. LAN Flyer
