D.verCity – Disability, Deaf and Outsider Arts Festival is the second event of its kind in Lancashire, offering art sessions that explore the social model through the theme of disability arts and culture, radical shows, comedy and cutting edge art. It is intended for adults and children, for disabled and non-disabled, and for anyone interested in art that is pushing the boundaries.
D.verCity at the Guild will grow into the virtual dimension with an online gallery and performance space in 2013 which will provide a legacy and platform for future work. A series of participatory art projects exploring disability, social, economic and cultural identity in the 21st century will take place in Autumn and Winter 2012 leading to a physical and virtual exhibition early in 2013.
