Cross Street Arts – Open Studios

Artists open their studio doors to the public this month with a special event at Cross Street Arts in Standish. Painters, sculptors, photographers, textile, mixed media and installation artists will be on hand to meet visitors, share their influences and ideas, and let people see the creative work spaces in which art works are made.
In addition, the group will be showcasing the work of associate members in their temporary gallery space on Cross Street.
The opening event, with live music by local artists, will take place on Friday 20th September, 7.30-9.00pm. The studios will be open to the public during the week from Monday 23rd – Friday 27thSeptember, 2.00-6.00pm.
Cross Street Gallery will be open from 21st September – 19thOctober on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 12.00-4.00pm.

“The studio is where ideas take shape and working alongside other creative people is important in your development as an artist. I have exhibited my work in a number of galleries over recent years, but there is nothing quite like opening your studio door and sharing with artists and public the influences, the materials and the methods of your art.”
