Part of the Artlab Contemporary Print programme, Talking Prints is a series of talks by artists exploring issues within contemporary printmaking, discussing current research, new developments in technologies and professional studio practice. Following the talk, there will be opportunity to network and view the artist’s portfolio.
Redeye is pleased to welcome the photographic artist Joachim Schmid for an evening talk in Manchester in collaboration with Manchester School of Art at Manchester Metropolitan University.
Joachim Schmid is a Berlin based artist who has been working with found photographs since the early 1980s. His work has been exhibited internationally and is included in numerous collections.
Turning Point Network’s series of Knowledge Sharing events kicked off in Newcastle and continues in Liverpool.
The event in Newcastle began with Dougald Hine offering an inspiring talk to a packed Riverside room at the BALTIC in Gateshead. He spoke about the human nature of knowledge sharing, referencing a number of his own projects – including Space Makers, School of Everything – as well as examples by peers with whom his work has overlapped, since he emerged from the London School of Art and Business.
Returning to Manchester for the fourth year, art lovers and collectors throughout the North West will once again have the chance to browse and buy the work of over 300 national and international artists who are exhibiting with us this year.
This brand new event sees Liverpool 2010 Art Prize winner, David Jacques & Manchester artist, David Osbaldeston, in conversation with each other and the audience on the subject of their work & beyond. A chance to see the artists present their work and a rare opportunity to enter into the debate.
