LeftCoast’s Golden Section with Brian Griffiths

LeftCoast is Blackpool and Wyre’s Creative People & Places Programme funded by Arts Council England. We’re dedicated to bringing the very best arts and creative happenings right to your doorstep.

What is Golden Section?

Golden Section is LeftCoast’s monthly creative conversation with inspiring guest speakers. We invite pioneering artists, performers, social innovators, entrepreneurs and generally amazing people to share their experiences and knowledge with you.

Previous speakers have included a man that set up his own football club, a woman that closes London bridges to host giant meals, a theatre maker, social photographer and a sword swallower – what’s not to like?

For this month’s Golden Section we are welcoming artist Brian Griffiths for a visual arts special. Brian makes sculptures and installations of over blown theatricality and pathos. His work has been exhibited extensively in the UK and internationally. He has had solo shows at Tramway, Camden Arts Centre, Arnolfini, A Foundation Vilma Gold, Galeria Luisa Strina and internationally has shown work at numerous museums including The Groninger Museum in the Netherlands, The Mattress Factory Museum in Pittsburgh, and Belém Museum of Modern Art, Brazil.

It would be great if you could pass this email on to your students, colleagues and friends.. It will be a fantastic opportunity for them to hear from someone who has a huge amount of experience in the arts and find out first-hand what it is like being a professional artist.
