A number of Arts Council Unlimited commissions were shown in Liverpool between 21-31 August as part of DaDaFest 2012. We took the opportunity to make some short films about three of those commissions while they were being presented in Liverpool. Crafting History: Lead Artist Opportunity, Manchester Craft & Design Centre
The Crafting History exhibition will showcase creative responses to the history of Manchester Craft and Design Centre (MCDC). Work will be produced by a commissioned contemporary lead artist/maker, and donated by resident makers from the Centre.
The exhibition will form a key part of the Centres 30th Anniversary celebrations and is part of a programme of events focused on collecting and sharing MCDCs story to date.
We are currently looking to commission an artist to complete a piece of work that innovatively responds to Manchester Craft and Design Centre’s history. This work will form the main part of theCrafting Historyexhibition, which will launch on the 14th of July 2012. Continue reading
