This project is totally non profit. It is open to everyone worldwide! Papergirl is a street art project originating in Berlin in 2006, which is now produced in cities worldwide. Art is collected from the creative community, exhibited, and then, in the style of American paperboys, rolled up and distributed by bicycle to random passers-by
Submissions will be accepted 25th-26th July 12-3pm at Oxheys. Artists interested in running workshops or doing a performance during the Art Market even are also invited to submit ideas and apply.
As part of their 3rd birthday celebrations, Oxheys are running a special Summer Open exhibition, also featuring a one-day pop-up Art Market event on Preston Flag Market.
To make this even more special, alongside the exhibition will be a special Art Market event as a one-day pop-up on Preston Flag Market on Saturday 16th August, with workshops and/or performance works included.
Local artists, LAN and ArtLab members are all invited to join in and submit work for the exhibition. Artists interested in running workshops or a performance during the Art Market even are also invited to apply.
The exhibition at Oxheys Mill Studios will run in the project space from August 8th-30th inclusive, open Fridays and Saturdays 12-3pm. A Private View event will be held on Thursday 7th August, 6-8pm. All welcome.
The online entry portal for Open Up North 2014 is now open. Open Up North is an art competition run by the Brewery Arts Centre, Kendal which is open to both professional and non-professional artists from the north of England and will culminate in a multi-venue exhibition across Kendal from 31st May – 27th July with a prize fund in excess of £2000.
